The Project State
Based out of the rain-swept landscape of Bergen, Norway, Comdaport (Anders Nesheim Vinje) creates deeply atmospheric, melodic electronic soundscapes.
His musical evolution began as a personal obsession in the vintage software era, cutting his teeth on early tracker systems like Fasttracker II, All Sound Tracker, and Jeskola Buzz, before transitioning into hardware synthesis with classic units like the Korg MS2000. Today, that legacy of precise, sample-and-synth manipulation has matured into a sophisticated command of modular synthesis, glitch aesthetics, and Ableton Live.
Dubbed "Nordic IDM," the sound of Comdaport blends the rich, spatial warmth of ambient music with the intricate, unpredictable structures of Intelligent Dance Music. The project is as much visual as it is auditory; using local generative rendering pipelines, Comdaport creates custom, dark visual environments that mirror the precise textures of top-performing tracks like The Contact, Pella, and Bakfedrar.
Whether exploring physical landscapes or coding in the dark, Comdaport’s music invites the listener to step away from the noise of the outside world and tune into the rhythmic shifting of the machinery.
